The client is a medically compromised senior male.
Caregiving duties include dispensing medications, including injectible diabetic medication.
Additionally the successful applicant will assist the senior with personal care. walking, regular exercise, climbing stairs, planning Diabetic and Kosher nutritious therapeutic diets and preparing same, and assisting the senior with sitting and bathing and all aspects of personal hygiene.
The applicant will assume full responsibility for the household in the absence of the householder.
Light Housekeeping duties include laundry, ironing, and dusting of this 9,000 square foot home.

The candidate must be punctual, well organized, and have effective interpersonal skills. As well, the applicant must be flexible, with good judgement, reliability and be a team player.

The home is a non-smoking environment.

CredentialsThe candidate must have a Caregiving Certificate, or equivalent including certificates in CPR and Red Cross and elderly care.
Essential SkillsAs the home setting is a traditional Jewish home, the applicant must have experience, as well as understanding of the requirements of maintaining a Traditional Jewish Home.
ExperienceCandidates must have an NCII Care-giving certificate, or equivalent with 3 - 5 years experience with a medically compromised senior male.
LanguagesGood communication in English is a must.
Weight HandlingCandidates must be capable of lifting more than 275 pounds into and out of chairs and bath tub.
Work SettingsThe work setting is in a large home, and the candidate will have their own private accommodation and washroom, at no charge. Thus room and board will be provided gratis.
The successful candidate will be tested prior to starting for Covid-19 and must be vaccinated for Covid-19.
The candidate will volunteer to spend their days off within the household bubble until such time as the pandemic is declared as over.

the successful candidate must be bondable, have immunization records, and will be subject to a Criminal Record Check. References are required.
