| Thoroughbred racing stable looking for 2 exercise riders and 2 grooms to work at Woodbine Racetrack. Exercise riders are responsible for riding 6-8 horses daily. That includes galloping, breezing and gate schooling. Must distribute, collect and clean tack. The work day begins at 5:30 am to approximately 10:30 am 6 days a week. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience galloping thoroughbred race horses at a race track. Grooms are responsible for caring for 5 horses daily. Responsibilities include grooming, bandaging, tacking, bathing, feeding and paddocking. Must have a strong knowledge of the proper physical condition of horses. The work day begins at 5:00 am to approximately 12:00 pm 6 days a week. Some afternoon work is required including feeding and paddocking. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience grooming thoroughbred race horses at a race track. | |
