No. of Vacancies of this position: 4 Main Duties of the Long-Haul Truck Driver (NOC 73300): - Operate and drive tractor-trailer to transport goods and material - Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods - Perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspection of vehicle systems, equipment and accessories - Ensure cargo is secured properly in accordance with safety requirements and follow safety procedures for transporting dangerous goods. - Communicate any delays due to road conditions, accidents or breakdown with dispatcher using on-board communication devices - Logging hours and distances driven, rest stop durations as well as all fuel, repair and toll expenses - Performing service checks on tire pressure, oil, and fluids levels as well as minor repairs when required - Address customer's complaints and concerns with Dispatch Supervisor. | |
