Job Type: Permanent, full-time position
Overtime: will apply after 44 hours per week
Start DateAs soon as possible
Salary$18 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours per week
Education RequirementsSecondary schooling; Certification/training in health care, Caregiving or in home support will be an asset.
Essential Skills• Create happy experiences for our clients in our home and community settings
• Focus on bring peace of mind to our clients and their families;
• Assist clients with activities of daily living: healthy meal preparation, personal care, light housekeeping, errands, companionship, transportation, etc;
• Assist clients with transfers, ambulation & established physio routines;
• Meet safety standards, using equipment safely and accurately;
• Provide premium care approach & keep clients engaged;
• Maintain detailed and complete client records;
• Create a detailed routine based on special needs of clients;
• Provide regular status reports;
• Maintain confidentiality inside & outside workplace;
• Other duties as may be assigned
Experience7 months to 1 year
LanguagesEnglish
Knowledge in any other language is a strong asset
Additional Skills• Attendance & Reliability
• The desire to truly make a difference in a person’s life
• Experience working with seniors and providing them with care
• Current First Aid/CPR level C with HCP
• Satisfactory criminal record check including vulnerable sector search – valid within 12 months
