Anticipated Start Date: As Soon as Possible Pay rate: $27.75/hr, 60 hours per week Credentials (certificates, licenses. memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's License Class 1 or A. Air Brake (Z) Endorsement Experience: 2 years of Commercial vehicle driving experience Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer. Type of Travel: Long-Haul, Local, Regional Work Location Information: Various Locations. Start and end week in Edmonton. Documentation Knowledge: Logbook, Bill of Lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Accident or incident reports Communication Equipment Experience: Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone, Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs) Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires. lights, brakes. cold storage and other equipment. Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness Additional Skills: 2 years of Commercial vehicle driving experience Security and Safety: Driving record check (abstract) Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation. Valid driver's class 1 license Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy. Writing.
