Position: Millwright - Maintenance

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Type: Permanent Employment and Full Time
Vacancies: 4
Shifts: Overnight, 10 hours shifts
Location: 34494 McClary Ave. Abbotsford, BC V2S 7N3

As a Millwright you will play a key role in contributing to the continued success of Silver Hills Bakery whose mission is to inspire individuals to live a healthy lifestyle. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic production work environment and will have the opportunity to learn new skills and work in a team setting. In this role, you are responsible for completing the duties listed below as well as other duties as assigned by your manager or their designate.

Additional Information on Wage
- Night Shift Rate: $48.00/hour (base rate $42.00 + $6.00 night shift premium = $48.00/hour)

Salary$42.00 Per Hour (Base Rate) X 40 Hours Per Week
EducationSecondary (High) school graduation certificate OR Equivalent Experience
Essential Skills- Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and find irregularities and malfunctions
- Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors, to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
- Install, align, take apart and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools
- Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery
- Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls
- Operate machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery
- Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation by using hand and power tools and welding equipment
- Perform Routine maintenance work on machinery
- Other duties as assigned
